Spider Murphy worked as a sound technician before embarking upon a stage career as the banjo player with Leon Redbone and toured the country extensively during Redbone's heyday. Yet, Spider claims his own original style of music is Cajun influenced with a twist of the sound of Memphis and Muscle Shoals. He playfully refers to his music as being coined "Acid-Bluegrass". "Down On Greasy Street" features thirteen original songs and is delightful offering of music treasures.
